PSN Trophies: the complete guide to PlayStation trophies

PSN trophies are the achievements you earn in PlayStation games on PS5, PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. Here is how they work, how trophy points and levels are counted, and how to see and compare anyone's PSN trophies.

The four trophy types

Every trophy has a grade. The rarer and harder it is, the higher the grade:

Trophy level and points

The points from all your trophies add up to your PSN trophy level, which goes from 1 to 999. Early levels come quickly and later ones need more and more points, so a high level shows years of trophy hunting. ProTrophies uses the same points (platinum 300, gold 90, silver 30, bronze 15) to rank players on the PSN trophy leaderboard.

Trophy rarity

Each trophy shows the share of players who have earned it. A trophy earned by fewer than 5% of players is ultra rare, and those are the ones hunters are proudest of. Every ProTrophies profile lists the player's rarest trophies automatically.

How to see anyone's PSN trophies

Type a PSN ID into the search box on the ProTrophies home page. The profile shows their trophy level, platinum, gold, silver and bronze trophies, latest trophies, platinum milestones, rarest trophies and every game they have played with completion for each. No account is needed.

If a profile looks empty, its owner has hidden their trophies on PlayStation. They can change it in their PlayStation privacy settings, under Gaming | Media, by setting Trophies to Anyone.

Compare PSN trophies with friends

Open Compare, pick two players and see their platinums, trophy points and level side by side, plus every game you both play and who is further ahead in each.
